Integrative Health & Personal Wellness

As an integrative health practitioner, I have learned that when the mind and body work in concert, optimal health is achieved. "Genes create road maps, nutrients fertilize the soil, and the mind cultivates it" (Galle,S.A., 2014).  Therefore, improving wellness, whether for prevention or remediation, promotes long standing habits which transform health. Many of my patients have shown improved health outcomes, such as reduction in their need for medications/treatments, for a multitude of illnesses such as depression, anxiety, diabetes, obesity, fatty liver disease, thyroid dysfunction and autoimmune illnesses. In addition, they report an increase in quality of life such as sleep, appetite, bowel and bladder habits, exercise, energy and overall sense of well being.

I promote personal wellness through recommending a variety of interventions including, healthy nutrition and non-pharmaceutical supplements in collaboration with your health care provider to personalize your optimal performance. I have learned to enlist the patient actively in their own care and understand that these interventions work synergistically with psychotherapy. With my board certification and postmasters degree in Psychopharmacology from Alliant University and subsequent and ongoing supervision from leaders in  the holistic health care movement, I can serve as a conduit for cutting edge integrative health interventions and when warranted refer patients for concurring consultations. Working within this integrative model, patients can promote their own health strategies and sustain personal satisfaction.
